Parc de Can Solei i Ca l’Arnús - Badalona

A getaway of beauty, greenery, and playtime

The park of Can Solei and Ca l'Arnús combines gardens, unique architectural features, and winding routes to create a delightful green escape in the heart of Badalona. It is a beautiful space known for its historical, natural, and landscape richness.

The entrances of the parc on Riera de Canyadó features lots of London planes

Originally two different parks that were united into one, the park is home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, offering plenty of opportunities for exploration and learning. The park also features a large children's playground, a picnic area, and open spaces, making it a perfect destination for families.

In the lowest part of the park, you will find the romantic garden, the children's play area, and the picnic area.

In the central part, the entrance through the Riera de Canyadó is particularly beautiful and leads to the grotto, the Torre Arnús, and the famous Torre del Rellotge ("Clock Tower"): a unique scientific tool created in 1883 that functions as a weather station, featuring a rain gauge, barometer, thermometer, lunar phase calendar, brush, and clock.

In the highest part of the park are the Castell del Llac and the romantic lake with an iron bridge, which together form a unique scene.

The park also has a botanical route with more than 100 signposted plant species, some of which are unique. It also hosts a Jugatecambiental, offering a rich program of environmental workshops for kids.

Visiting with kids

The sandy playground is large and diverse, providing plenty of fun, especially for children aged 3 and up. It also features a picnic area with shaded tables, making it an excellent choice for hosting outdoor birthday parties.

However, keep in mind that some paths within the park are not stroller-friendly, and the park’s sloping terrain may require a bit of uphill or downhill walking. That said, don’t let this discourage you! A visit to Ca l’Arnús with kids is a fantastic way to enjoy fresh air, outdoor play, and quality green time together.

Best time to go

Any time you're in the area is a great opportunity to explore the park. You can easily combine a stroll with a visit to the local library, a picnic, and some playtime.

The park truly comes alive in May during the Festes de Maig, Badalona’s most important celebration, serving as a vibrant stage for events. One of the highlights is the Festa del Badiu, a charming event entirely dedicated to children and hosted in the park.
