Parc polivalent Francesc Macià - Malgrat de Mar

Here, children are the true protagonists, free to explore open spaces, greenery, and endless play opportunities

Francesc Macià Park in Malgrat de Mar is the ultimate playground, designed to spark creativity and imagination with a wide range of play structures and activities.

Circuit d’aventura al parc

Spanning an impressive 40,000 m², the park is especially known for its giant sculptures of everyday objects (such as sneakers, pencils, and muffins) and elements from children’s fantasy worlds (like mushroom-shaped houses and Hansel and Gretel’s candy house). While these sculptures are captivating, they’re just one part of the many experiences the park has to offer.

The park features different play areas designed for various age groups and needs:

  • Sensory and auditory play areas.

  • Sand and water play areas for hands-on exploration.

  • Swings, slides, and zip lines.

  • An adventure circuit with bridges, ropes, ladders, and even more slides.

Beyond play, the park also boasts an amphitheater, a scenic viewpoint, and a sports zone with football and basketball courts, skateboarding and roller-skating areas, and ping-pong tables. Best of all? Everything is free!

More than just a playground, Francesc Macià Park is a visually rich green space filled with a variety of plant species, including both deciduous and evergreen trees of different sizes and shapes.

A unique feature of the park is the series of small landscaped and botanical stations scattered throughout, offering short, engaging explanations—especially interesting for kids.

Visiting with kids

This park is perfect for kids of all ages and is fully accessible, including its restrooms.

If it’s your first visit, keep in mind that a "quick stop" with children is nearly impossible—there’s just too much to explore! Plan for at least an hour, though you could easily spend much longer enjoying the space.

It’s also wise to bring a change of clothes, as the park has plenty of sandy areas, and the goal is for kids to play freely and get messy!

⚠️ Important: Pets are not allowed in the park, and bicycles are also prohibited inside (but there is a designated bike parking area at the entrance).

Best time to go

Francesc Macià Park is a fantastic destination all year round, thanks to its diverse play areas and the plentiful shade in summer. Plan to spend a full morning or afternoon here, and if you don’t want to pack food, you can enjoy a meal at La Torreta, the restaurant located within the park.

Even on rainy days, it’s a great spot to throw on some rain boots and jump in puddles!
